Based in Melbourne, you will report to the Head Instrument & Electrical Design (Australia). You are primarily accountable for the preparation and checking of I&E drawings and carrying out I&E design tasks across the retrofit project. You may also be required to undertake site surveys of onshore and offshore installations from time to time. Detailed Job Description You will also be responsible for: Working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance systems. Planning, allocating, checking and scheduling I&E design work. Responsible for completion of project design work in a timely manner. Providing technical guidance as well as suggesting recommendations to management on performance and development of others within the I&E design group. Carrying out accurate and detailed estimates of resources and time for design work. Carry out accurate assessments of design progress and work remaining to complete. Investigating and encouraging continuous improvement initiatives within the I&E design group. Skills/Qualification Ideally you will have experience in a similar role supervising a small to medium size team as well as preparing design deliverables using SPI (INtools), AutoCAD and/or PDMS especially within the oil and gas industry. Alternatively relevant experience in an engineering design and construction environment will be considered. Excellent communication skills when working within a multi disciplined team environment is essential. Brief Description As a result of an increase in workload for our onshore projects, we are currently looking for a Senior Project Engineer/Construction Engineer for our busy oil and gas division based in the Melbourne. Reporting to the Regional Head of Construction and Commissioning - Australia, your main responsibility would be to create and manage lift plans, supply chain management, logistics, TQ's as well as onshore commissioning and quality assurance acceptance. This is because a large part of the work will focus on the pre-commissioning and installation of modules which were built and have been delivered. The individual will also be required to manage, challenge and improve cost and schedule targets.
