This is a unique opportunity to join a growing Australian company as a Technical Business Analyst within the Business Intelligence team. The successful candidate will be switched on and able to provide functional and technical analysis for IT and Business teams alike.
Key Responsibilities :
Liaise with the Business teams and other analyst to gather requirements to create implementation plans
Provide Business Intelligence Support to various teams and clients including trouble shooting and addressing application issues
Use knowledge of Financial principles and systems to guide integration process to desired deliverables
Implement release changes to maintain application currency
Use SSAS to design and create cubes to fit with custom built solutions and systems
Use Informatica and SSIS to extract data from the DW
Use Excel to transform and integrate financial reports into larger SQL DB
Key requirements:
3-5 years experience as Technical Business Analyst within the BI space or similar
Previous experience working with Financial Systems and Finance teams (CPA or MBA preferred)
Advanced SQL, Excel and SSIS, Informatica and SSAS (cube design) skills
Knowledge and experience with MDX expressions and report development with SSRS
Solid communication skills and knowledge of Financial Systems

This analytics team play a key role between the business and technical teams to effectively analyse, report and communicate projects across the business. This is a 12 month contract position with a view to possible extension. It is a mid to senior level role working within a changing and fast paced environment. You will often act as the lead or only Commercial Analyst supporting a range of senior stakeholders across a wide range of the business. Your experience within telecommunications would be highly regarded or alternatively experience within large complex fast paced environments would greatly assist you in this role.
To be successful in this role you will have the following qualities:
* Strong SQL reporting tools, SAS, VBA, data warehouse skills
* Able to effectively communicate both written & verbally across multiple business units
* Driven, self starter able to hit the ground running
